Science Trek 2010™ “Lighting the Way…”
Idaho Museum of Natural History
April 16-17th
Science Trek celebrates 21 years of science exploration for 3rd–5th graders in Eastern Idaho! The event, is held at the Idaho Museum of Natural History, on the ISU Campus and is a joint venture with the Museum and KISU – Idaho Public Television.
The young “Trekkers” will be participating in “Phun Physics” which is an exciting presentation in the main Physics auditorium, then they head off for some “hands-on” quality time with practicing scientists. This gives our future scientists the opportunity to explore a field they choose from our great list, expand their knowledge of their favorite subject and get them on their way to become more involved in science. They also get to “camp out” in the museum around the dinosaurs!
We are very pleased that once again this year, the Army National Guard from the Pocatello Armory will be on hand to help escort the Trekkers from one building to the next. We really appreciate their help!
The Trekkers will all receive a T-Shirt that was designed by one of the participants and other goodies provided by our sponsors.
